Prof. Rafał Matera, Rector of the University of Lodz comments:

We are very proud that students choose the University of Lodz – Human University, believing that the academic environment will help them not only in getting a better job, but also in building lasting relationships and personal development. However, the information provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education is not complete, because together with part-time studies and doctoral schools, we have admitted over 10,000 new students and doctoral candidates. This is a significant success and another challenge we need to face – we need to ensure that these numbers are maintained, and the drop-out phenomenon is prevented. This is an extremely demanding and crucial task for the development of our academic community. We are pleased that some faculties have achieved record interest and study programmes such as Psychology, Law, English Studies or Forensic Biology enjoy unflagging popularity.
