Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD students

Recruitment:

  • Each partner university should establish the maximum number of students it can fund with an Erasmus+ grant.
  • Each institution should announce the BIP to potential departments and students.
  • Interested students should reply to their International Office and, if applicable, each institution selects the students they can fund.

How to apply:

  • The partners should then send the names and emails of the selected students to the BIP Contact Person (Ms. Carla Augusto: caugusto@letras.up.pt).
  • Nomination Deadline:  28th February 2025
  • After recruitment and selection ()if applicable), we will then provide students with the necessary information about formalities, accommodation, definitive BIP programme, cultural agenda, etc.

Funding:

  • Funding of participants in these BIPs must be provided by the sending HEIs from their own Erasmus+ KA131 funds. Please contact your International Office to confirm that the Erasmus+ funding is available.
  • The basic funding rules are the following:
  • The University of Porto, as coordinating institution, is awarded funding from its KA131 Erasmus+ funds for organisational support, i.e., for the local organisation of the BIP (but cannot fund the incoming participants).
  • The sending institutions have to obtain funding from their overall KA131 Erasmus+ funds to offer mobility grants for the students and staff who will participate in the BIP.

How much funding is required:

  • STUDENTS: 70 euros per day x minimum 5 days + 2 travel days
  • Erasmus+ Short-Term PhD Mobilities are also eligible.

Costs:

Incoming students are responsible for their travel, accommodation and subsistence costs, excluding the activities included in the BIP programme.
